Hey guys,
Do you know of a good lecture type training system that is available online?
I work late into the evening so attending a classroom session is very hard for me.
Does live instruction seem to help considerably for you guys?

There is the Weekly Online Program by Schweser that’s like a “Virtual Classroom” but it starts in AUG and has a set weekly schedule. You can also try the Scheser Videos, which I have and find quite good for times when you just need to hear someone who knows what they’re talking about explain it a couple of times over again. I also find the videos helpful when I’m not in the mood to open the books, I just hit play. Either option is $750.

I’ve experienced both, and I am favoring the video CDs because the format is better.
1. You can start studying now - don’t need to wait for class to start.
2. Doug spends too much time answering questions in the online class. You have to sit through people’s stupid questions. Thus, less time spent on lecture.
3. Video CDs allow you to rewind and play.
4. You get the slides in a book format for the video CDs.
My 2 cents.

I’ve taken a bunch of in-person sessions from the likes of Training the Street, MDA Training and Marquee Group. They are all excellent.
The best source I’ve found online is actually called the Corporate Finance Institute and has several free online finance courses. Also try Udemy, Udacity, Coursesa etc. They are good too but not quite as specialized.
There also also some good free videos on youtube but you have to sift throught a lot to find them. I recommend CFI or an in person session if you can find the time and afford it,
IMHO
