Hi All,

Just registered for the June 07 exam. This forum was of great help in making the decision.

Any comp science majors here working in the same field who have already given the test/ planning to take level 1 ? Any study/preperation experiences to share will be of great help.

Thanks.

Hi Sxan,

I have bachelor's degree in CS and 10 years of IT experience. Enrolled for Dec Level 1 exam. If you didn't have any exposure to accounting, economics & securities markets in general, do yourself a favor and start preparing right now.

I passed Series 7 last year and it turned to be a huge help. You may want to check The Teaching Company's (http://www.teach12.com/) audio lectures on Business Statistics, Economics, as well as Finance and Accounting. They can really bring you up to speed very fast.

As for Level 1 prep, I highly recommend Schweser's Notes (hard copy) along with audio version. You can listen to the audio when it's either inconvenient for you to read or when you're just sick and tired of reading. Flash cards are also very helpful to keep everything fresh in memory (check http://www.supermemo.com/ if you're a computer geek like I am).

Suggestin: To not fall asleep reading FSA, drink alot of coffee.
