For those who have done the forst CFA Mock - Ethics, Q 4.
According to the CFA Institute Research Objectivity Standards, does LeCompte’s first statement made during her television appearance most likely provide all the recommended disclosures relating to potential conflicts of interest?
a) No, only with respect to Nanomem
b) No, only with respect to Uniflash
c) Yes
Ans: While she has not disclosed her “benefit received” from Nanomem. The correct is B which implies she has not provided all disclosures relating to Uniflash! It should have otherwise been stated as “Yes, only with respect to Uniflash”?
I am not thinking staright here, can someone please help.

The question is with respect to first statement - where she did not disclose the benefit received from NanoMem (company sponsored event at beach resort overseas) .
Q: Does the statement provide all the recommended disclosures? A: NO and they continue saying that the statement provide the recommended disclosure only with respect to Uniflash.
No (,) only with respect to uniflash. It does not imply “she has not provided all disclosures relating to Uniiflash” like you think.
I hope this helps!

Thank you. Its the (,) that makes all the difference.

Good question. I made the same mistake and Honestly, it took me a while to understand understand where I went wrong :P

I would say the ‘No,’ is an interjection. and therefore has no relation to the rest of the sentence.
i.e.
“b) No, only with respect to Uniflash” can be read as “Only with respect to Uniflash”.
(grade D english gcse).
