What are the best CPA discussion fora?

How many hours are reccomendend for the CPA once given a greenlight by the state to take the exam.? Could anyone provide a breakdown for each section?

OK, there is a lot of misinformation in this thread about the CPA Exam so let me clear up a couple of things.

CPA is not a designation - it is a state issued license. If you are a CPA, that means you are Certified (licensed) to practice in that state as a Public Accountant. Only a licensed CPA can sign the audit opinion on the financial statements of a public company.

Passing the standardized CPA examination is required for licensure in all 50 states.

Each state has its own requirements (in addition to the exam) for licensure, such as work experience, education, etc.

This link probably has more information than anyone would need:

Can anyone reccomend a good CPA forum. I can't seem to find any when I search.

cpanet.com is the closest I came to but that place is near dead

Here is a counter question, does having a cfa charter help getting through some of the education requirements for CPA
regards

No, not directly, but if your degree used to get into the CFA program is a bachlor in accounting, then that should qualify you to write the CPA exams under one of the states. The actual CFA levels and charter do count directly for the education though.
