Hey, Just wodnering those that have cracked the world of of institutional money mgt what your path and advice would be. Looking around, I find it hard to find the places that manage corporate money. Its a bit easier to find the retail side that manages high net worth clients, and even easier to find the all out financial planner. I am trying to figure out the best path to make it to the insitutional side of the business, and have no desire to be the 100% commission financial planner on the other end of the spectrum...I am pretty fresh outta college in my first job, and have just started the CFA journey..any advice would be great

that's a decent start, but considering that you are competing with thousands of other folks for these positions, you must do some things to tilt the odds to your favor...otherwise you are just a one piece of the pile.

does there happen to be a good website or something that, say, posts what large pension funds your city has, who manages the money, etc....I'm bombarded with info on being a salesman foe edward jones investments, but pensions and corporate money arent really advertised...I'm sleuthing around, but any tips on findin'em? I want to make sure I find as many as I can!

networking is probably your best bet. Talk to alumni of your college, professors, friends, family members, etc, etc and see if you can find someone that works in this area.
