Hello everyone,
I have done some research through these forums and am trying to come up with the best study plan for Level 1. In addition to the curriculum my plan is to purchase:
  1. Schweser Essential Self Study Package
  2. Wiley Video Lectures
  3. Wiley 11th Hour Guide (Book Only)
I plan on reading a section from the schweser notes first and then immediately read the same section from the CFAI curriculum for further emphasis and to see if the Schweser notes missed anything. I will do the EOCs after reading as well. I also plan on watching the wiley videos as needed as it will be a nice change of pace and help me retain material. I plan on starting 9 months ahead of the June 2017 exam as my approach will be lengthy. For final review 1-2 months before the exam, in addition to doing many mocks, the Schweser QBank, and reviewing EOCs, I plan to utilize the Wiley 11th hour guide.
  1. Does anyone have any advice for reviewing material near the end? There is so much material so what did you do to retain the information, especially the stuff you read at the beginning of your studies?
  2. Do any prep courses in particular have beneficial review courses or material to purchase? (Right now my pick is the 11th Hour Guide, but I am not sure if its the best option)
  3. Does my overall strategy seem like a solid plan in your opinon?
Thanks!

Your study time is long enough, and your study material is sufficient. I myself read almost Schweser Notes with some reviews in Curriculum.
After reading each reading, you should make your own notes for concepts and formulas. Use them for final review before doing mock exams.
If you follow your plan with discipline, I’m sure that you’ll be successful.
