Credit Risk Analysis

Hello all,
Any idea how I could enhance my knowledge on credit risk analysis techniques used in European banks? Any books, website details would be much appreciated.

i’m a credit analyst on European Banks. For books, I would recommend ‘the bank credit analysis handbook’ by Jonathon Golin and Philippe Delhaise. It gives a great understanding of the balance sheet, funding structure, capital requirements and income statement.
Might be worth trying to get hold of a moodys paper or fitch paper on couple of Banks which some publish on their investor relations website.
You thinking of any banks in particular? Or any countries?

Probably not as good as pokhim’s recommendations, but I know NYU professor Aswath Damodaran publlishes a lot of stuff on his website on most risk-related topics. He also has a lot of free models for download.

@Pokhim - I work for a French Investment bank on market risk (IT side) and have an opportunity to shift to credit risk side (business side) - if I do convince the stakeholders of my knowledge of course. The opportunity is 3-6 months down the line and hence want to prepare myself in the best way possible.
