Is anyone currently enrolled in the Master of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management at Creighton University?
Or does anyone know anything more about it than what is on their website?

I understand that “Creighton” isn’t considered top tier, but they have a Masters Program geared towards preparing you for the CFA. I don’t believe many others schools do that specifically.
Just wondered if anyone had a valid opinion on the program.
 
just type creighton into a search and some stuff will come up.
 
I am in Toronto and there are a TON of mba/cfa combination programs around here. Of course, you need to be rich to enter…
 
Somehow I think “a masters’ degree that prepares you for the CFA” doesn’t sound like a great compliment. CFA is a tough exam, worthy of respect, but I would expect more from a masters’ program than, “after taking this, you’ll have a good shot at passing the CFA exams.”
 
I agree with bchadwick,
Masters programs should not be ‘prep schools’ for the CFA…
 
To get an idea of the quality of the students, look at the average GMAT. I know, I know, its a stupid standardized test that essentially means nothing. But if they have an average score of 520 (and they might) you should look elsewhere.

Yes i will say it is not an IVY league school, nor does it try to be. I am finishing my MSAPM degree in May this year and must say that it is the best decision I have made. The quality of the instruction IMHO is outstanding. Creighton was the 4th school in the world to be a Program Partner with the CFA Institute, since others have followed.
What Creighton does do is dig more in depth than the CFA exams. It is more practical, rather than just reading a text book you have real examples and real practitioners that teach not just the what is on the CFA exam, but what happens in the real world.
I can confidently say that it is what you put into is what you get out of it. So if a “5th” tier school scares you like it does JTLD then it is not for you.
 
I am thinking about getting a MSFMASDNWMPM from East Flatbush Community College in Brooklyn.
Is anyone currently enrolled in the MSFMASDNWMPM?
Or does anyone know anything more about it than what is on their website?
