Curriculum books for Level II exam (2014)

Bunch of crooks. The ebooks are terrible and now we have to pay $150 for the hard copy version. They better at least use the extra money to improve the paper quality.

No, they don’t this time around. The vitalsource ebook is $150 and should be bought along with the registration.

Oh i didn’t know…
Although i have to say, ebook is the future, the hardcopies are not very environmentally friendly - imagine people who have to retake an exam numerous times and the materials only change SLIGHTLY!
ebook isn’t that bad once you get used to it, and if you can get a hold of last years books for free, use them and use ebook as backup, then you don’t need to pay for $150.

If you are crying over not having hard copy books what are you going to do when you get to the workforce where the big initative is “paperless”. A bunch of 20 somethins crying about having to use e-bboks? I mean really?

Try the vitalsource software and you will know why we hate it. You can’t go from one page to the next using a spacebar, pgup or pgdn. The workaround is to print as pdf and use preview/skim (mac) or simple adobe reader (mac/win).

I don’t mind reading things electronically, but vital source is very very poor. I’d even prefer PDF files of the curriculum because then you could crop out the margins to read on tablet computers.
Vitalsource could be fantastic if they would just change things so you could change the font size to anything you want and it fits perfectly like Anazon Kindle.
Unfotunatley it is poor though so I will order a hard copy.

It’s the software not the paperless aspect of it. They release an inferior product and charge people money to not have to endure it.
BTW, I read all my books on kindle and iPad and have done so for 3 years. My personal life is almost all paperless. As for work…well this is Japan and Japan loves its paper.

I don’t see why the electronically inclined should buy a hardcopy since in vitalsource you can save(print) the ebook as a pdf file and use your own best pdf browser to flip through, make notes etc.
