Yes this is a big opportunity. 8 less readings is a LOT!
 
I don’t think its going to make the exam any easier but it might make preparing for it seem a bit more focussed. There’s nothing worse than outlying reading that you know is just waiting to destroy you on exam day.
i’ve noticed that for L2 the past few years the readings that were deleted weren’t really in focus the year before.
also interesting that for L2 12-13 there were about 3-4 equity readings deleted only for a few to be added from 13-14
 
Seven new readings have been added and only three have been deleted. Damn!!
