are curriculum Q Ridiculously difficult„??
unable to solve them …
feeling like giving up frown emoticon

I don’t think they’re specially difficult, some of them are quite tricky though…

Is there any study session in particular you are finding the EOCs difficult for?
I agree with sharky7 that some of them are a little “tricky” but they are pobably a pretty good representation of the difficulty of exam questions….just keep at it and go through them a few times. Also, make sure you read the answers after trying them and at least try to figure out why you got them wrong.

Thanks S666 and Sharky7
Derivatvs , Fix inc, portfolio mngt and Ethics still to cover „ plus i have a full time job„
hope i will get time to revise :(
Any suggestion ?

I’ve only been through the EOCs of Derivatives+PM, I believe they are fair, and probably easier than the mocks we will take later on. Do not give up, it’s normal to be crushed by them the first time!

What material are you studying with? I did a short L2 attempt in 2012 with only schweser materials and the CFAI EOCs were basically a different language in terms of complexity and understanding required. It made me feel like I had not covered the section at all.

Thanks for the motivation Gurifissu ..(Y)
@hock
Im using a combo of (Elan + curriculm & Schwesser +curriculm)…using different material for differnt sections whichever i found easy.. along with the benefits , it is time consuming too :(

Expecting to solve the EOC questions correctly after the first read through is a really high standard to set. I consider it a bonus if I’m able to quickly answer them. The norm is struggling a bit to work through them. Then sometimes I simply don’t have a clue.
The good news? The solutions are there for you to learn from! Then the next time you see that type of problem it might not seem as ridiculously difficult.
Keep at it!

So true. I also tried the short schweser attempt and was completely unprepared for EOCs. Like you said, it was like another language. I filed my schweser books away in the trash and switched to CFAI on a really short time frame and passed L2. I’m convinced if I’d have stuck w/ Schweser, I’d have failed.

agree with this…
don’t bother whether i can do it straightly or not, just familirize..familirize…and familirize.

I read Schweser, did Schweser EOCs, and am having a hard time with CFAI’s EOCs. It’s just a matter of getting through the CFAI’s EOCs, learning the concepts, and taking notes, which will help when it’s time to start taking mock exams. In my opinion, you have to go through every single question CFAI EOC question and take notes if you really want to pass. It will become less difficult if you put time into it…

thanks CFALOBO and jounin..
I took a two day break„, feeling like to give myself sometime and re-organize myself, re-fresh my mind.
wil restart study by tommorow again..
one other Question i want to ask. will b e grateful if anyone can suggest something.
in L1 , i read and understand the concepts first, finish all the books , and then started practicing EOC.
I am good at reading, i finish reading easily but then in EOC i get stuck.
I am thinking to complete the readings by april 7th, and then do the EOC of every reading . this way concepts will get revised too. and will do 3-4 mocks in May.
Any suggestion, am i moving in the right direction?
