Anyone taking days off from work to study for the test?

I'm suppose to tell my boss which days I want off, and trying to think what would be the optimal way to schedule this.

Definately plan on the few days prior to the exam and I am a bigger fan of taking 1 day a week up until the exam versus the whole last week. It is much better to get the info down early and review rather than killing yourself the whole last week....it will inevitably take longer than you anticipate.

that's what I was thinking about doing.

I'm on a 9/80 schedule, so every other friday i'm off.

I'm thinking of taking two half days the week before (mon, wed, and friday i'm off)

Then taking another two half days the week before that. (tue/thursday)

2 days out of vacation to study! what a way to use up vacation time!

80 hours in 9 days? OMG! What in the world do you do that has those kinds of hours. Wow!

don't get too happy for me yet.

I pull in way more than 40 hour a week..including almost every weekend!

But that's suppose to be the typical work week schedule.

i have the week before off ..and unfortunately thtz one week worth of vacation

on a side note -- have any of you done any mocks yet within the specified time constraints ??

if you have
do you find that your going over the time i.e 3 hrs ...

I havne't done one yet, but I know it will def exceed 3 hr limit.

"i have the week before off ..and unfortunately thtz one week worth of vacation"

That sucks. Hopefully you have more than one week of vacation left :)

i went wayy over the time ...i got too caught up with some q's ...

yeah i have exactly one more week left ...

I guess best strategy would be to complete your strong sections first for the exam.

well i was thinking i wd go through the exam and first do all the q's that require no calculations and then on a 2nd sweep do the ones with calulations ..

yup, that would work too. I just don't want to waste time flipping a lot of pages.

are you doing Schweser practice exams?

well i'm gonna try a few diff ways and see which one works best ...another way wd be to cover the heavily weighted areas first like ethics , FSA and asset valuation and then quant , eco and PM

yeah ...ive done one 3 hr so far .....
