December sessions for level II and Level III

I fully expect that L2 will become available in December within the next few years. Grading of L3 is too difficult though, so I don’t see it happening for L3 unless it goes all MC.

since when there is dec level I ? Does anyone know ?

It’s been at least 4 or 5 years I think. If you look up past exam pass rates, it will show it.

I really hope they don’t do this anytime soon… Would make getting the Charter that much easier and flood the market.

Not easier, just faster. Would probably lower the passing rate as more people try to do Level II 6 months after level 1.

You also need people to read and grade candidate papers. Prolly lotsa people…

Being able to take the exam 6 months after a failure would make passing Level II much easier since you could jump back into it immediately. Having to wait a whole year to take the same exam again is a real challenge I can imagine.

+1
One of the things that makes the CPA exam relatively easier is that you can take the exam every three months.
Failed a part? Just study the same material another three months and take it again. Repeat until all parts are passed.
Having to wait a year really sucks. And adds a lot more (possibly artificial) pressure to pass the exam.

I think the cfa institute certainly have people and resources to organize the exams even 4 times a year. If ACCA can and CPA can then CFA can do it too !
They just want to keep it that way and thus add a difficulty to the exam.

Ya man let’s make the test easier so you can pass!

Wait until you have the charter and you’ll understand why nobody who has it wants the exams to be offered any more frequently than they currently are.

nah, look, people who are serious and determined they would be able to finish it sooner. People who do not work hard wouldn’t do it even if it were every month.

I think it’s perfect as it is now. L1 twice a year because a lot of people go to the exam totally not-prepared/just want to try it out/ or their company pays for it, so why not try. Then you allow the people who want to be serious to try again 6 months
L2 and L3 once a year makes sense.
there are like 4000 people that get the charter every year. the rate of increase is pretty darn fast already.
