With all economic growth going on in our world today, and the accompanying depletion and pollution, do you think we'll see the collapse of the biosphere in our lifetime, and if not, when will it happen? In 20 years? 100 years? Or can we go on like this for, say, another 10000 years? And what will the impact be for those making a living as CFA charterholders for the next 40 years to come?

I just looked at the site http://www.meteoalarm.eu/, a site for launching warnings about extreme weather, and amazingly there are several areas with the highest level of warning: "The weather is very dangerous. ... Major damage and accidents are likely, in many cases with threat to life and limb, over a wide area. ... Follow orders and any advice given by your authorities under all circumstances, be prepared for extraordinary measures."

What do you think about risk management as a profession for the future?

It'll be very exciting to follow the transformation into the next level. Think about it! It'll be almost like those dinasaurs watching the catastrophic extinction event which now, I believe, is Gulf of Mexico or, to be more precise, the Chicxulub Crater.

I think my personal extinction will prevent me from following the transformation to the next level.

I was referring to the next 20 years, Joey.
