Hello,
I have the hard copy of all the books of L1 of 2010 and now i have registered for june 2012 exam. Could someone be kind enough to tell me the difference between 2010 and 2012 study material?
Thanks!!

I don’t know specifics, you’d have to ask one of the current candidates about that or see if they list the learning outcome statements (LOS) over the years on the CFAi website. Personally, I think you’ll be fine. Use the schweser notes, then review a few of the main topics or ones that have changed or ones you have trouble with using the free CFAi texts. Realistically though, the concepts in the CFAi material are fairly basic and haven’t changed much in 20 years. So yes, they may tweak the direction of the text this way or that way, but for the most part, you’ll definitely be able to pass by studying 2010 material.

hey thanx a ton for your response. Ill try to get the LOS and then will have a broader view. But like u said i shud be fine with the 2010 hard copies of the books. Also, do you by any chance have any schweser question banks or mock exams that u share?
Also, if you could share how to go about studying for L1.

I took the lvl 1 in jun 10 and am taking it again. You should definitely get all the books for 2012 as some things have changed. For ex. In corporate finance they have dropped ratios beta etc and introduced Leverage and share repurchases. Also the Econ section has changed drastically from last year to this year according to people on this board. Please do your self a favor and get the new material

From 2010 CF, PM, equity, econ, fra and technical analysis have changed. There’s no way you can manage with material that’s so outdated.
