Do I have a chance (4 months till exam)?

Hello guys, have not studied up to the date and now I want to make it. Do you think im late? I’m ok to buy wiley study guide for example. Please post your opinion (is it too late and is it wise to go wiley, im full time work)- I assume you are already in. Thank you.
 
Yes you are late, and so am I (I started on 1st Feb). I dont know about wiley but I am studying from schweser, it seems decent till now.
 
I know im late - I want to understand if its worth trying or my money already are lost and better to focus on other things
 
It’s a worth trying. You only have to park yourself within approx. 50 % of more successful candidates, not to earn The Nobel Prize.
 
Good luck but I would say no.
My opinion is that most people who pass probably spend 2 months doing practice exams/review which would leave you 2 months to read the CFAI books + the online questions take forever. I think the majority of people who pass are retakers or people who got serious about this exam the moment they passed L2.
Do I think the most intelligent people I know could pass in 4 months…yeah borderline but it would be a struggle.
 
You definitely have time / a chance. First, while the exam isn’t easier, the amount of content you’re wading through is at least easier. You should be able to cover it faster and get to more focused problems earlier. That said, make sure you can still realistically commit to studying the necessary hours. It’s helpful if you can take 1-2 weeks off right before the exams.
If you do decide to go for it, make sure you start learning the structure / question format of the morning section immediately (especially useful for behavioral finance and IPS questions)
 
it depends, do you have a full time job ?
how many hours can you realistically put in a week ? and are you able to do study/focus for 6-8 hours a day ?
if yes then id say you have a HIGH chance if you follow a structured way of preparing for the exam.
 
Yes, you have a chance. I passed Dec 15’ LI and Jun 16’ LII both with 3-4 months of studying (both on first attempts). I find this is the optimal time for me (for material retention and what I will call mental wellness maintenance purposes) and I am just starting to study now. I usually put in about 20-30 hours/week until the exam starting 12-16 weeks out. This is in addition to my full time (~45 hr/week job). I just started on page 1 today. Best of luck!
 
Haven’t even started yet.
Not an issue at all if you are committed.
Everyone would have a pretty good idea on what they are doing at Level 3 I’d suppose….
