I ordered my books yesterday and there is a backorder delay. I won't get them until about february 3rd. Is this enough time to study for the June exam?

It might depend on what your background and experience is. The time takes to prepare really varies person by person. Some people say it only takes them several weeks, but some need a year...

totally depends on how much time u can put in per week and what your backgound is. I didn't pass this time around, but based on my scores it looks like i was really close. I had virtually no educational background in business, but studied really hard. I started studying Sept 1st for the december exam. I put in about 15 -20 hrs per week, until the last 2 weeks at which point i cranked it to about 25 -30 hrs a week. I would have passed had my time mgt been better in the morning session and if i focused more on the qualitative stuff and less on memorizing long financial models. Most of the exam seemed to be about relationships.

I recommend getting some study notes though and use the books as a backup on difficult issues.

Each person is different. If you are currently or very recently a student or at least unmarried or w/ no kids - chances are as long as you devote enought time - at least 15 hours/week starting when you get your books and 'catch up' w/ the curiculums, you will probably do OK. In my case, I had been out of MBA program for 8 years, my work is mainly w/ IT systems and run quite a busy of family of 4 to boot so I actually started right after Spring Break last year - I read the textbooks until my Stalla program start on 7/18. Even with all these, I think my pass is probably quite borderline :-) Although of course, my Stalla instructor tries to be encouraging by saying otherwise.

The thing is to be really focused on your studying - I created my own flashcards - 600 of 4x6 notecards weighing a total of 4 lbs by the end of the whole thing! I reviewed them during any downtime I can get. And yes - definitely do the practice exams a few weeks before the real thing.

I passed the last sitting on my first attempt. I started studying in early September, but concurrently with another exam. I spent 150 - 200 hours on CFA and 100+ hours on the other one. It kept me pretty busy over 3 months, but it can be done!

Look over the LOS and really get to know what you have to face.

If you are still questioning as such, I would say then it means you yourself doubt that you would make it in time. If so, then you might as well not try.

what do you mean, dont try? - man, i am gonna write the exam even if i only get 15 minutes to study

You'll fail for sure with only 15 minutes of study. Thanks for pulling down the averages.

Thank you, come again!
