Do study groups help ??

Guys i have never studied in a group. I prefer doing my own thing but from what i hear a lot of ppl prefer studying together. Does it help ? Infact how does the entire concept work ? Do u guys actually study together or study individually n then discuss on the topics studied ?
 
Ye , it does help , helps u to clear a lot of concepts.
(having hot chicks in the study group would be an icing on cake!!!!!)
 
archer shut up if i want ure opinion i'll ask u directly cause u sit in my next cubicle at work.
 
i do not have an finance background. It helps me a lot when I can work out problems with someone who has had some accounting and finance classes. Taking a class helps too but I don't think too many instructors would be happy answering my newbie questions.
 
I just passed L3. I had a study group for L1, yet didn't do it for L2 and L3.

Study groups were very difficult. some people would be reading from the guides. some from the textbooks. Not everyone would be prepared.

To make it work, everyone needs to set an agenda prior to each week where you will discuss specific questions at the end of the chapter.
