Do Topic Tests cover almost all of the testable material?

I have just finished with FRA and Equity and started with the equity topic tests. My scores range from 50-75 with average of 60 so I am scared as to whether my low scores may be compounded if the entire material isnt covered? Are these scores fine for a first time attempt?

These scores are fine considering you are many months out and it is your first attempt. Keep grinding and most importantly, take notes on every question that you guessed or failed. You will see your scores improve in the long run. I would say the topic tests are a very good indicator of pass/fail on the exam, if you can consistently achieve 65-70 or above. You will be fine

Somewhere, I read that if u score 55% to 65% in your final mock exams during your final week, u have a great chance of passing L2. Back then, I scored 58% in my mocks and was relieved to have passed the actual exam. In your case, considering it was your first-attempt, 60% is pretty good! As a general rule of thumb, u should get 2 correct answers for every 1 wrong answer.

You mean CFAI mocks correct? idk how comfortable I would feel scoring in that range on Schweser mocks :X

Yeah. Wasnt too comfortable with my 58% mock score either. Most of my topic weaknesses were exposed in the mocks, while most of my topic strengths were exposed in the actual exam! CFA is sometimes based on luck! Haha! Hope u guys get the same luck!

I was getting high 50s and low 60s on Mocks and failed on Band 9….so def not sure where that came from, even tho im sure its specific person to person (and yes, luck plays a part)
Honestly, last year i found the Topic Tests to be significantly harder than the Schweser mocks. noticably, significantly harder. The Schweser Mocks were very much in line with the difficulty of the real exam (if anything, the tougher Schweser mocks were a little harder than the real thing).
