First of all congratulations to all those who made it, rejoice your achievement. An additional round of applause to those who made it 3/3 - i am sure some people do not value this, I however see it as an achievement nonetheless.
I am one of the unfortunate few ( 48% ) who werent able to make it. I knew that I did not have a great chance of making it through however a failure is devastating nonetheless. CFA exams are a beast and most of us know it, but sometimes you tend to forget it as a result you are humbled.That was the case with me, this is not to imply in any which way that people who didnt make it put in any less effort than those who did. As you move on from one level to the next the stakes are higher the competition more tough. With the level of filteration that happens that each level, you need to push yourself a lot harder just to be average, sometimes we fail to take that into account.
But all that matters is am i prepared to put myself through the rigour that is needed to make it through. Am I willing to make the sacrifices to be able to achieve the goal. Most importantly do you believe that it is worth it? I certainly do and the first step is registering for the exam as soon as it opens and i am hoping i can make it through 3/4

absolutely worth it. don’t let ANYONE tell you it’s not. the feeling of achievement you will have once you do pass is priceless. I didn’t pass last year but did this year. It’s all about a cold-eyed review of what you could have done better to prepare and changing your strategy to pass next year. I was really busy with work this year and not able to prepare much at all and almost didn’t even appear for the exam. But I put in a massive effort at the end and built on what I’d done the prior year, and analyzed where I’d gone wrong before (mainly, I assumed I could take short cuts. you CAN’T. Don’t underestimate this exam.) I had the right mental preparation this time, I think, and that made all the difference. GOOD LUCK! Don’t let one setback define you. Get through it and pass next time.

Late_starter, i never failed a single subject since school lol .. and now i failed, a band 4.. I just want to know why i scored that bad although i was really prepared to avoid what happened this year.

In the same boat Bilal, haven’t failed a single exam. However I must admit my preparation was worse than in level-II but to still see a fail that too a bad one is disheartening. However I am not going to let on setback define me as doubledip stated. I am going to try again next year and hopefully make it.
I am not sure what my circumstances are going to be but i am pretty sure marriage isnt going to be one of them Got married couple of weeks after the exam

Getting engaged in a month here.. lol congrats for the marriage but I plan to start early this year. I even sucked in the afternoon session. I dont want to put all the blame on the AM because i did suck in the PM too. I want to master the material which i already know ( used schweser last year ) but when i did mocks, i scored 55-60%.. im sure i scored 30-40% in this years exam. Something fundamental went wrong and i plan to fix it hopefully. I’d appreciate if everyone shared his experience on how they managed to move from a low band to band 11.
