I am considering challenging this, but I need to find out the details before doing so. I also would like to see if someone got something “better” than me:

We have divided the full group of failed candidates into ten approximately equal score bands. Your score band below shows how your overall score on the exam compares with all other failed candidates.
For example, if your reported score band is 1, you scored in approximately the bottom 10% of failed candidates. If your reported score band is 2, your score was within the next band width ranging from approximately the bottom 11% to 20% of failed candidates. If your score band is reported as 10, you scored in the top 10% of all failed candidates.
Performance band of your overall score among all candidates who failed the exam: 10

I’m definitely not saying mine is better, but getting >70 on both equity and Financial Reporting and failing is hard as hell to swallow. It seems like I bombed everything else. Wow! Help me lord!

I felt pretty badly when I saw this…horribly actually because I thought I had a good chance at passing. I can’t believe I failed ethics given how easy I thought ethics was (maybe that was the problem?). Regardless, it’s always hardest the first time around. While I know I failed this, I also know that there is no doubt in my mind that I can, in fact, pass it. I started studying in Mid-April, squeezed 250 hours between then and June, and gave it my best given the short period of time (seven weeks). Come January, I will have a better study plan, more time, other things to focus on to balance the CFA. Most importantly, I will return with a renewed drive to finish what I started.
As the good president said: Yes we can!
And where we are met with cynicism and doubt and fear and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of the American people in three simple words – yes, we can. Yes we can. YES we can!

I feel ya jogaut. Other than FI I scored I had the same score as you. What hurts the most is that I scored >70 in FSA and Eq and was only in band 7.

frangoya you should do a recount. 40-60-80 shows you with a 72. that sucks buddy.

Thanks Treas.
That’s the thing about this test. You really don’t know what they are going to test in the smaller sections. I guess I hit the jackpot on getting tested in my weakest areas on those.
It hurts to fail this way.
The horror!

That’s very harsh - the basic plan has to always be 70+ on ethics, FSA and equity - then do ok on the rest… I guess the basic plan doesnt always work. but you did ok on almost everything else. That’s crazy. Certainly can’t believe that’s a 9.
