Screw em’ they say! Some member’s names are listed right in the description.
“Despite this requirement, four Level I candidates, five Level II candidates, and one Level III candidate used their examination ticket as scratch paper during the examination. ”
How dumb do you have to be? At one point do you not realize your ticket says, “Don’t Write on Me!” in huge letters???
 
That’s pretty painful to be a L3 candidate, having passed the grueling L2 exam, only to be suspended from the program.
 
haha. May be because of communication barrier. When they asked them to stop, they thought we have 5 more minutes to complete.
 
ouch, one of these guys asked for a hearing and got hit with an even bigger stick…(at the bottom, one of the 16)
“Notwithstanding this requirement, forty-five Level I candidates, eight Level II candidates, and six Level III candidates continued to write their examinations after time was called. The CFA Institute Professional Conduct Program investigated these cases and found that each candidate engaged in the conduct and thereby violated the CFA Program Examination Rules and Regulations and Standards of Professional Conduct. Forty-three of the candidates accepted the sanction of Private Censure and Voiding of Examination Results. Sixteen of the candidates requested a Hearing Panel. After consideration of the evidence in each respective case, the Hearing Panels imposed the sanction of Private Censure and Voiding of Examination Results on fifteen candidates. A Hearing Panel also imposed the sanction of One Year Suspension from Participation in the CFA Program and Voiding of Examination Results on one candidate. “
 
Ramya Velusamy, Lu Kanda, Barbara Tarasewicz, Zhe Yang, and Sixuan Pan received a Summary Suspension from further participation in the CFA Program. The candidates violated the CFA Institute Bylaws that require candidates to submit information requested relating to professional conduct and activities.

could be anything including failure to respond to the CFAI’s letter requesting information on what happened during the test.
I saw someone writing past time when I took the FRM last year. The proctors took his name. I can’t believe someone would be this stupid. They told him to stop but he kept going? And four people came back late from lunch while the proctors were giving the afternoon exam instructions (the setup is very similar to the CFA). We all had been given our test books already and were just about to hear the instructions to open the books and bubble our names, when these four thought they could saunter in. They were really ticked when the proctors escorted them out. But how could someone come back late from lunch, I mean, come on!

haha. She still has not lost her smile. Here we are crying….

Lifetime Ban and your name on the wall of shame. Wow.

looking for positives, at least it gives you plenty of time to prepare for the exam…

People in hyderabad are proud of her. She won’t have to pay dowry in millions now.
She is now equivalent to Dr. Reddy
 
i dont think anyone would pay attention if its not required for her position / work.

If she wants to work for financial institution, this will show up in her background check report. She needs a solid story to explain/convince what happened on that day.
She is better off working for that university. I guess that is why she accepted that position in University.
 
This is so insane. Ok, there is indeed some stupidity involved from the candidates, but come on !!!!!!!!!!!!
This is all very extreme, but it doesn’t surprise me from the CFAI.
The same lack of common sense is to be expected from them should one of us be unfortunate enough to get into a bad situation that the CFAI investigates into.
I am sure these people are always glad to make examples.
Man this is ridiculous. A sect.
