Does anyone think that it would be detrimental to not reading the CFA books on Economics and reading the Stalla notes instead? I read the econ part of the CFA back in teh earlier part of 06, but of course that was 6 months ago. I think that I'll be fine to just read Stalla on Econ, does anyone disagree??? Does anyoen think that I'll be hurting if I don't read the CFA text on Econ. I have taken Micro and Macro econ before. Thanks.

I passed L1 with >70% on Econ with only the Stalla notes and reasonably fond recollections of college Macroecon. Your mileage may vary, but it should be doable.

That said, if you have time, the CFA texts are really good. I'd definitely go over them in the last month or two before the exam. If you have the stalla or schwesser stuff in your mind, you should be able to skim through the CFA text to pick out the nuggets more rapidly than if you just started with the CFA stuff.

SWEET b/c I already read CFA once before (6 months ago) and it was boring...hopefully the shorter stalla will keep me more intersted.

Also what about Quant? Any drawback to using Stalla vs CFA? I can't see there being too much difference as it is just Quant. I will definitely read both for FSA though :).
