Is it enough to take introductory micro and microeconomics college courses only to be ready for Level I, or should I also take the intermediary versions of these courses? Thanks.

Macro and Micro are needed and it will help you a lot if you can take international economics. But at the minimum, I'd do Macro. I took macro economics like three years ago and it is completley gone! So what I did was buy thinkwell's macroeconomics so I didn't have to take the course again. They are in video format and I love the ability to not have to read another 300 page book. thinkwell.com is their site and they have micro as well. go to amazon and you can get the CDS for like $13.00 w/ shipping. good luck

Dont waste your time with classes. If i were you I would just by the preliminary reading book, Economics of Public Choice, or whatever it is, and do the readings. Read the reading four or five times, to the point where you cal almost finish the sentences in your head without reading them. Make sure you understand the models, and can shift all the curves and whatnot. If you have any questions post them on analystforum or ask a friend or coleague.

They say intro courses are fine. I took international econ in 3rd yr, it was useful for a couple readings too.
