Elan Disadvantages (CFA L1)

Can someone who is familiar with Elan materials tell me what the disadvantages of the Elan materials are compared to Schweser or Stalla? I’m still trying to decide between the two. I like the Elan videos, but I’m somewhat reluctant to go with a smaller company, especially with so many people reporting success with Schweser materials alone.
Also, considering I have less than 3 months to prepare for the June exam, would the Elan videos be a less-than-efficient use of my time?
 
Use search and read the former posts about this„ my post is still new READ IT „ as someone said you can download the samples from both and compare, the material is the same between them its just the way they present the info „ I am in the same boat as you I havent bought the notes yet „ after comparing both I think ill go with Elan since I tired the 11th hr and I liked last Dec
P.S you dont want to waste to much time with your head in the books „ finish as fast as you can and then keep banging questions and mocks

The only disadvantage I see with Elan is the odd spelling mistake every few pages. (ONLY spelling mistake, no mistake on actual content).
Also, I haven’t gotten the 5th and final book yet. They said by the end of next week. But they also told me end of Jan, end of Feb each time I email them so we’ll see.
 
One thing I did was to buy the whole Schweser L1 books from Ebay–got a full 2012 set in like new condition for $50–which will allow me to review the writing style. At the same time I have the free trial from Elan which is all of Quant and some more. This will hopefully allow me to compare the two. I agree with the OP it is all going to be basically rewording of the CFAI materials, but I do think that explanations on certain concepts are better via the study guides–example being discounted return period.
 
Thanks for all the links to past threads. They’ve been very helpful, but I had already seen them when I started this topic and was hoping for some additional discussion on Elan.
I already have access to all the Schweser materials through a friend, but I’ve read that their videos are not as comprehensive or in-depth as Elan’s.
 
Schweser’s videos are not match for Elan’s.
Schweser videos: 40+ hours
Elan videos: 90+ hours.
 
I found Elan guides very useful in my Level I prep. Elan Study notes,Elan practice questions ,CFAI EOC ,Elan mocks as well as CFAI mock were all that i needed to pass. I found their videos to be very good. time constraints however precluded their use.The third Elan mock if i remember correctly was tough.
