Elan Mocks (Particularly #3)

i just did the online exam and did v good got 108 out of 120 my best score yet! at the 99th percentile

well done Cinderella! i am really liking my marks today too (90% on the online of Elan, 86% and 88% on mock 2 of elan)

I think I’m fucked, scored 73/120 on the first part of the CFAI mock…just not retaining what I previously learned.

that’s not good… but!! are you tired? how many hours have you been working? maybe better to rest? i bet you ‘ll find you score better tomorrow!

I don’t know, maybe…I do feel like I just don’t give a shit anymore, so maybe fatigue is a factor? I don’t think i’m putting in anymore than anyone else, but clearly my memory is not retaining what I learned, as my previous strong sections on the exam turned out to be weak…i’ll take the day off before the exam and we’ll see how it goes.

update – did the afternoon session on Elan Mock 3 and got 75%, my worst on any mock so far, so i would totally agree that it is tough…..FRA was a disaster for me in this one :(
my plan now is to go through all the exams i’ve done and write a big list of the topics that tripped me up. then focus on those for the remaining study time.

just one day off ? man i realized that the retention issue is more violent when you are working. I was dealing with the same issue, but after the last long weekend, i noticed that just focusing on the exam without switching my brain to other unrelated stuffs, i was doing definitely better. So I would recommend you take more than 1 day this week

I agree! I took all of this upcoming week off (Including the Friday that just passed).
Going to work the last 2-3 weeks was a mess. I would talk in my mind about different CFA topics. Try to finish work as soon as possible so that I can get home as quickly and early. My sleeping habits have been thrown out the window.
I feel I might go insane…

I have this week off too, an very grateful for it….my study habits were great at the start but for the last month or so, a combo of nightmarish work hours and a lack of motivation has really seen my focus drop.
Matori, i feel your pain, my sleeping pattern is stuffed too :(
