From observing the EOCs for each chapter, there seem to be entire chapters which ask only questions in “essay form” and others completely in multiple choice. Can one safely assume that the readings will follow this approach in the exam, i.e. those EOCs which required multiple choice questions will be tested in the PM session and those which required essay-type questions will be tested in AM?

No, please do not make any assumptions.
Some chapters lend themselves more to the essay format - but that does not mean no multiple choice questions could be asked there. (and vice versa too).

I think you just broke my heart :(
Thanks for the tip.

Probably a reasonable assumption on your part, but not absolutely true. You could possibly still allow it to shape your preparation to a certain extent.

Thanks Arbtrgr.

Really? You’re near the end of this painstaking saga, with one giant hurdle left to clear to be done with it forever, and you want to be able to make an elementary assumption based on the format of the questions at the end of every chapter… C’mon man, you’re better than that. Personally, I wouldn’t (nor did I) try and clear this test under any assumption. L3 is no joke.

He’s asking a valid question. If for example it were true then that would be a huge part of studying for this exam in an efficient manner.
The comments following said it’s not how its done so we got our answer.

^^
That said, L3 is all about synthesizing the content. IMO, no better way to do that than by writing essay responses across the board. Would You Look… is totally in bounds here. L3 is no joke and even thinking short cuts should be nipped in the proverbial bud and stat.

Try to answer all essay questions in BULLET POINTS.
If you can master answering questions in bullet points concisely, you are half way toward passing already.

^ totally, and start practicing now. will be the best decision you make this year, I promise.
