Nothing special ..same ol - saw a posting on a jobsite /applied /interviewed ..
 
how different is it trying to break in endowments (or other small shops for the matter) at a junior level than applying for larger shops?

some endowments are in pretty remote locations. Might have a better chance at those. Boston / NYC / Palo Alto might be more challenging (and they probably pay much better).
Keep in mind thought the big endowments (Harvard, Yale) enploy a lot more junior people (harvard has an army of analysts), while the smaller ones ($<2B) have very few (if any) junior positions.
 
interesting spreadsheet. I didn’t know law school profs can make up to 700k a year.
