I did it before. The content was related to the job I was doing at the time and it helped to give me a stronger understanding of oil & gas, amongst the other topics. You might seem surprised and disagree, but when I was looking for work related to oil & gas, to be honest I found that it failed to stir up any significant interest.
Unfortunately the ERP simply doesn’t have anywhere near the same brand recognition as the CFA, even amongst people in oil & gas. If you already do work related to ERP content and you want to ensure you have a solid understanding of industry basics, then it’s a useful program. Otherwise you’ll need to sit down and determine if you’re really willing to put in the 300 hours required for it.
