Essays in capital letters

I knew a smart guy at high school who was aiming at straight A’s in A Levels but he had an awful handwriting to the point of rendering his answer papers illegible and endangering his results. He was advised to write all essays in block capital letters!
Considering capital letters are considered rude (akin to shouting) is this advisable for L3 morning section as a means to improve handwriting clarity?

Regardless of above, I know few of them, who when were not sure how to write a word in English, they just wrote as they pronounce particular word. Though I’m not sure whether is such manner acceptable here.

If the answer’s right, they’ll mark it right.
They don’t care about your writing style. It’s not an English test.
