Dear all,

I am making a study plan for the level 1 exam June 2007. I am planing to have one month ahead of the exam for doing problem sets. Before that I would like to read schwesers notes or CFA curriculum materials (but haven't decided yet which notes i will buy) to master the knowledge for level 1.

My question is that if i study four hours a day, how many days can i finish reading schwesers notes and how many days for CFA curriculum materials? Any thoughts or suggestions would be really appreciated. Many thanks.

Best regards.

Hi.

If you have to, I would choose Schwesser notes. However, studying 4 hours a day should allow you to read CFA curriculum materials from monday to thursday, and master schwesser notes on weekends. The number of weeks needed depends on your previous background. Anyway, thats what I am going to do.

You should be able to do 1 Reading + 1 corresponding reading in Schweser/Stalla + review problems all within one day if you have 3-4 hours to devote each day. I think there is around 70 readings so say roughly 70 days to complete all the readings. Obviously some readings are longer than others and some are shorter. So say it will take you 3 months to read all the material you can start in February and have all of May to review. Or start in January and you'll have 2 months to review. I started a little early for this December exam and I have finished all the readings and I am just doing problems right now. I'll do exams in November.
