If analyst recieved the gift within the firm’s limit, does he still need to disclose it to the employer? Thanks.

If an employee came to me to disclose receiving a stress ball, I’ll ask to investigate all of his activities. He’s either too dumb for the job, or he’s playing the super duper decent ethical act as a cover-up to some nasty things.
