I took the 2015 AM Mock exam and I have a doubt about the following question:

The Answer is B and it makes sense that Peter didn’t violated the Standard, but I am not so sure about Sato. In an older Mock exam, I found that in order to not violate the standard, a member who is looking for an external manager should base the selection on:
- performance
- adherence to the strategy
- compliance
- internal controls
This is confusing me, since in the question above Sato is selecting the manager based (only) on the performance and so forgetting compliance, internal controls,… and thus violating the standard.
What do you think about? I am missing something?
