I feel it was from Qbank-advanced Qs

its related to "no fees payment to CFAI"
the guy is CFA

print some visiting card but dont distribute

violate or not? NO VIOLATION as he does not distribute it.
 
yeah..i think so too. Though I don't remember seeing this question on the test.
 
I think it has violated. If he printed all card at his HOME and no other had any single chance to read his card, it would not be any violation.
Key here is not about how many people are misled by his holding designation, key is if he has misused or exaggerated his own situation.

I am not sure whether it is a violation if his butler reads it, I think violation would be there he tries to mislead clients or others by using the title.
 
It is a violation period. The point here is not who sees it or not, the point is that he has not paid his dues, etc. So he is in violation.
 
intent = violation
since he printed it, there was intent - therefore, violation
