So when do people plan to get started on L2 studying? I'm thinking about reviewing the stuff I skipped over on L1 before moving on -- derivatives/alternative investments.

Starting to realize that passing level 1 is like finishing freshman year.....small accomplishment but still a lot to go before reaching the ultimate goal.....

I plan to take some time over the next few months to go over the parts of L1 that I felt a little shaky on - mostly FSA stuff. Then around mid september, I'll look at the CFA books and get a feel for how it is different than L1, presumably it's mostly the same stuff, but goes more in depth and probably adds lots of foreign currency things.

Start cranking in January. I'm going to do live courses again - that really helps enforce disciplined pacing.

All I can say is, L2 is a killer, it will kick your ass if you don't study hard. It's twice as hard as L1. The only reason I passed it is because I studied my ass off for 3 months straight, full-time (I had been laid off from my previous job, which was a blessing in disguise, because now I have my CFA and am a well-paid portfolio manager). Take some time off, recharge, and then go hard or go home.

I think jbaldyga should stop posting and get back to work!
