Schweser Qbank, I'm getting, on average over between 83% -90%, depending on the test, I did a fairly difficult 120 point exam in 2 hour on sunday and scored 84%, but I don't believe the hype, I'm still a nervous bastard who's gonna be knee deep in material until the exam.
In the 50s last week, getting 60s this week so hopefully I'll be getting better closer to June! I am also using two provider's practice materials which has brought down my average from two weeks ago by a substantial amount, but it appears helpful. Getting 80-90% and you're nervous? Must be nice...
I'm using SchweserPro's Question Bank. I normally use "CFA weighting" and "all difficulty levels". Right now my average is 82% correct, but this varies by topic level. I have not tried the CFA sample exams or the Schweser printed exam. I'll also be taking the Boston society's practice exam shortly.
I'm curious for those people who are in Level II or III now. If they used SchweserPro for Level I, what were there practice scores & actual scores. Does an 80% equate to 50% or 60% or 70% on the actual exam? I'm guessing maybe 60-65%. I've heard 70% is a very very good score and I don't consider myself there.
A friend of mine at work who has his level 1 and never used Schweser said that Schweser questions were impressive. From what I have gotten from the board there is not equality in schweser question difficulty for the books or between the books and the Qbank.
Many L2 who took it in december stated that schweser questions (the additional practice exam book) was harder than actual test. However, the formal was different from the CFAI test.
anyone take the exams from the CFA institute website? I took one, and got 73%...not upset considering it was after a full day of work and trading floors suck for taking exams... but still think it should have been better... their exams are like 70% very easy and 30% tricky.... so that doesn't say much for me.. and there aren't good explanations for the answers.. so it sucks!! anyone else have luck with these?
From my experience the Schweser questions on the Qbank are *very* difficult. I have a past CFA instructor teaching a fixed income class of mine right now, and his tests, which certainly difficult (he has failed out half the class so far), are in my opinion easier than the Schweser. He structures his questions over his experience with the Level one exam as both an instructor and student.
*EDIT* I've been scoring anywhere between 50-80 on my Qbank tests. Hoping to get that into the 90s like a postor above me.
