Hi:
I have a question here. Would you read the entire background story first before look at the question or read the question first and then try to find out the relevant part in the story?
Thank you
I kind of scan the questions first to get some understanding of what to look for, then read the vignette and underline as I’m going through to get the important numbers and facts. Then I start the questions. However, if fast reading is not your forte, this could lead to slowing you down.
I do the same thing as swt326. I tried reading the story first and then the questions, but ended up re-reading the story to look for info. Skimming the questions first allows me to underline key numbers in the story and add comments in the page margins.
Read the opening couple sentences of the vignette, then do a VERY quick scan of the remainder. Then read the first question and look for the answer. After completing question 6, make sure you have finished reading the entire vignette because sometimes (but rarely) they’ll slip a critical factor at the end.
The time pressure in Level II is less than with Level I.
