Expected MPS for L3 2015.

I think it may be tougher this year, with a 49% pass rate in 2013 and a jump to 54% in 2014.
I would expect the pass rate to be back nearer 50%, which will be tough for a lot of us as so many found the exam so easy!

Okay, my small bro passed L3 last year. I tried to check out the his expected MPS.
AM - 102/180 OE 57%
PM - 118/180 or 66%
Total - 220/360 or 61%

there is common feedback that some folks couldn’t manage time and left at least XYZ minutes worth exam part in AM
this happens in every single CFA LEVEL III AM exam

I have a theory on that.
IMO the overall format changed, with a drift from breadth to depth, which is pretty obvious if you compare saturday’s exam to past years.
What does that mean ? Honestly I think they are looking to fail alot of people this year.
I felt the exact same way. I didn’t think the AM section was as straightforward as past years. It wasn’t nearly as predictable.

After scrolling through some of those past results, I wouldn’t be surprised if the MPS was around 55… but who knows. I’m basing that on some passes that I saw with like half below 50 and some 50-70s mixed in, but then again, they all could have been 49%, 69% and 100%

Based on all the reports herein (admittedly anecdotal and AF is not the “population?) where people are sayng that the AM was manageable and the PM was a gift, this year may turn out to be like 2006, where 76% of all test takers at Level III passed. Don’t worry!

Huh? You thought am was manageable and pm was a gift?? I thought am was way too long for 3 hours. And on pm, the ethics questions were complete bulls**t. I totally disagree with your view on it being a relatively easy exam. But maybe you just studied harder than I did.
