This might have been asked before, but I just want to make sure before I proceed any further. The work experience needed for the charter... that must be completed before you are awarded the "charter" meaning after you take and pass all three exams?
Are there any requirements I must meet before I take the level one exam? I currently have no finance experience, but I'm interested in a career in the field. Truth be told, I've worked one year outside of my undergrad (trading commodity futures woohoo) and I've spent the last few months studying for the GMAT for my MBA. I scored well, but am planning on working a couple more years before heading back to school. With all this free time on my hands, I thought it might be worthwhile to take and pass the L1 exam before getting my MBA, that way, afterwards I'll have an edge up on my peers for employment options in the finance field.
I truly love finance and think I'd enjoy digging in and learning all I can while studying for the L1. What do you guys think?
