Should I retake for third time? Failed twice in Band 10. Wasn’t expecting to fail band 10 second time around and felt pretty confident
First Time Band 10:
Equity/ECO/FI >70
Corp/Der/Alt/PM/Ethics - 50-70
Quants/Alt - <50
Second Time Band 10
Equity/Eco/Alt - >70
FRA/Ethics - 50-70
Der/Corp/Quants/FI/PM <=50
From the looks of it second time looks worse. Should I re-take for third time?

For the first time I wasn’t expecting to pass due to time constraints. only had about 4 months but for second time I had enough time - started in october.
Studied the original. Did the Wiley questions/Schewser Mocks/Konvexity mocks. and all the EOCs so not really sure. Was shocked to see this score cause I know for a fact my knowledge in FI/CORP/Der is not <50

I would not bother with CFAI curriculum for level 2 way too much unnecessary knowledge. Just master the key concepts in scheweser and you should pass.

Takeawalkk..you need to focus on FRA, CF and Derivatives..these are heavy weights and you scored less than 70 in both of your attempts..may be just 3-4 questions in any of these topics would have taken you to next level!

Yes, take it a 3rd time. I was in your place last year having failed 2x and now I’ve passed.

i failed band 9 two times in a row and passed this time. just hang in there.
one thing that helped the third time around was i studied in the office and kept my cell phone in a different location so i wouldn’t be distracted. this way i would study for solid 2 hour blocks and slowly build up my focus and test taking stamina over the course of several months.
