Inventing Money by Nicholas Dunbar

I would strongly recommend this LTCM account to all charterholders, candidates, and other professionals in the business. I read Lowenstein as well, but prefer Dunbar's version as it gives a more in-depth professional perspective that all here would definitely appreciate.

best of what i've read since june 4 '07:

Demon of Our Own Design - Bookstaber
The Black Swan - Taleb

Average:

The Dhando Investor - Pabrai

The Intelligent Investor
Numi's Guide to the Galaxy

The Black Swan, that's a new one right...I think I read about that in the weekend journal

"Wall Street Meat" by Andy Kissiler

I'm glad I recognize many of these titles....

The book "Good to Great" has a section on the Stockdale paradox. Maybe it can provide som good reading while we're waiting for the results.A quote from the book is found here: http://www.jimcollins.com/lib/goodToGreat/ch4_p83.html

Somebody mentioned "the warren buffet way".

I think this book is totally over-hyped with nothing of any significance at all..in fact most of the excerpts are straight picks from berkshire's annual reports..

Is it only me or does someone else feel the same too ?

The Zurich Axioms

A very interesting perspective on investing that really flys in the face of pretty much anything else you will have ever read.
