I’ll be flooding this forum for the next 10 months with help to other fellow candidates, as well as recieving some from fellow charterholders.
I really enjoyed the L2 forum, I’m sure I will like it here as well.
Good luck to this year’s L3 takers!

same here! It already feels good to have the “CFA level 3 candidate” next to my username ;)

Have you already registered for the Level 3 exam?

I’m pretty sure you are breaking the Code if you say you are a Candidate before paying the fees for the next exam, but I got below 50% on Ethics so what do I know. And even if I’m right and I wanted to start a PCP investigation, I wouldn’t even know where to start…because I got below 50% on Ethics.
Looking forward to being on this forum as well!

Wow, some already have made a faux pas when it comes to calling themselves a L3 candidate ;). Hopefully that’s not a sign of things to come. I’ve passed L2, and will be a L3 candidate as soon as CFAI allows me to pay and I look forward to working on this board. Not that I expect current L3 candidates to be here, I totally expect all you guys on AF to pass : ). But, if you care to jump in and answer a question occasionally, we’d totally appreciate it.
Sad thing is I bombed Ethics and got a 50-70 on Portfolio Management. Those are pretty much the entire exam for L3.

I barely went through PM and bombed it as well. Difference is we knew it would be small weight on last exam. I don’t think it’s a tricky subject area persay. We simply had to master FRA, FI, and Equity for Lev 2. In summary, we’ll be fine!

Sad for me, I got 70+ on only econ, FRA & PM. Disappointing given that I double-majored in accounting/econ so had a leg up on those two topics to begin with. Happy to give hope for those who are trolling for a low passing matrix. …. Rough sledding, coming up.

You guys know all you had to do was click the link for LIII, right? They’ve been right next door the whole time…

Congratulations to all of you who passed!
You will very soon encounter a new beast called Behavioral Finance. This is your next-level boss to beat.

Tickersu, we didn’t know we had ruby slippers and that all we had to do all along was click our heels. Oh, and hook up with Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion. + Trek to Oz, kill the wicked witch and fight off the flying monkeys.

Congrats on passing level II and welcome to level III.
I am very likely to have failed level III this year so I guess we’ll see alot of each other…
Now I hope most of you are getting wasted this W-E to celebrate.

Dayum, it sure feels awesome to be in L3!
I felt that L1 was a bit of a breeze, but I really, very nearly, broke down on the eve of L2 exams, so the relief at seeing the “congratulations” mail was beyond words!
My buddy went down in the L2 exam, so I’ll be needing the company of all you L3 AF-ers to (hopefully) pass L3 on the first-shot.
When is everyone planning to start studying? Because, for L2, I started in September but found that I had forgotten most of the stuff by March, so I’m a little sceptical of starting before December. Would this be a good strategy?

Started L2 in Feb. and still had forgotten a good deal by May. I’m starting in 2 weeks and will go through the stuff a few times.
