not true, i have worked on buy and sell side and know people with BA w/ geology, english (me), and other random degrees and some of them run the companies or/and are partners.
your BA degree does not matter. what matters is the CFA charter, your people skills, and your passion for the game.
i am still a young cub, but my linked in has 3 dozen CFA holders and I would say 40% tops have undergrad finance degrees
