First job? What did we used to do?

Yes...well sort of. I was underage and wanted a job. The backhoe would dig the hole and we would have to jump down into the hole and form a bump on the bottom in the middle. This allows us to remove the straps from the coffin after lowering it into the hole. Most of the time I worked on landscaping the cemetary. Yeah most people are freaked out about it, but not as freaked out as I was at 13yrs old being in a hole seeing a casket next to you that has been there for years!!! Talk about horror movies popping into my head. Yeah so that was a very interesting job to say the least.

Actually, rock-picking was very first, but it didn't last long
 
Car Matchbox dealer. Bought a dozen from a bigger town and sell it to boys in my neighborhood twice the price I paid for it. It instigated mothers to investigate rise in theoir sons stealing money from their pockets.
 
I had a job as a paper boy when I was mad young, but in highschool I first worked in a mailroom of a market research firm.

is this like people who have psychological problems end up studying psychology in a subversive attempt to figure themselves out?
