Since all the L3 people are doing it…..
Tell me your favorite type of cdo: cash flow or synthetic?
Also anybody know if when a cdo is overcollateralized and the receivables are called will the senior tranche be affected?
 
Yes synthetic CDO was also my favorite, at least for this exam :)
 
pon any idea on the other one, there were two problems that asked about when you pulled money from a CDO, for the first answer I put 0 would be pulled from the higher tranche, and then B I think for the other one, guess…
 
Hey doll, I’ve been having a rough time at work. Have to start budgeting my gifts to you. Can I give you 50 chocolates now, zero in the midterm and 50 later in the long-term? Or do you prefer it a different way?

Also anyone know If you have an FI arbitrage HF whether you want spreads to widen or tigthen?
 
interesting even though you were long hy and short the investment grade, seems like you would make money if spreads widened
 
hmm it looks like you’re right based off of what’s online, I still can’t wrap my head around why though. Oh well 2 i’ve missed.

You could be right. Why is ‘Asshat’ stalking Cleo. His/Her lingo is not blending. Asked her a weird qs in another thread. May be Asshat is CFAI police. Asshat why do you have only 2 AF points at this time of the CFA season?

Well other than Paulson’s use, I meant more in a context relevant to this thread.
 
which one looks more familiar to something you saw on june 2, cash flow cdo or synthetic cdo? This one has been bugging me, since I somehow think I botched it despite largely working in fixed income trading ops for a lot of my career.
