Hey guys,
So for those of us who are already on vacations / studying full-time, I was curious :
1 - how many hours per day do you manage to study ?
2 - what does your day look like and what is your method ?
In my case :
1 - I, for one, am having trouble doing more than 2 x 3 hours per day. However, I am going to up that by 2 hours starting tomorrow, as I get the feeling that I am slacking. I think 8 hours per day is optimal for the last 3 weeks.
2 - I do 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. My method revolves around doing CFAI mocks (so far 1 PM + 1 AM done), correcting them, and as I correct them I redo the full associated reading (with a focus on BBs but I don’t redo the EOCs) while making flashcards/notes. I review said flashcards/notes daily. I tend to prioritise Volumes 2 & 4, as I kind of see them as the curriculum’s spine.
So what about you guys ?

You viceroys are very spoiled. I’m not on a vacation and am still putting as much hours as yours. Get your majestic a$$ busy and study more. Unless you feel very comfortable with the material.

I study about 3 hours/day outside of work. Lucky to get another 30 min at lunch or before work if i can.
Weekends I do about 10 hours/day.

I’m doing 2 hours minimum per day after a typical 10-12 hour work day which includes an hour at the gym. I also typically make dinner.
You should be grinding 10-hours out per day if you’re not working. I have the last two weeks off before the exam, I plan to make my eyes and brain hemorrhage from the overkill of studying.

Work with a family. Averaging about 15 hrs a week right now. Not going to use up my vacation days studying but Im going to start taking one day off next week.

Mon-Thu 8pm - 10pm. I only work 4 days a week for 10 hours a day.
Fri - 8am - 10pm with 2 meal breaks
Sat - 8am - 8pm with 1 meal break and relax
Sun - 8am - 10m with 2 meal breaks
I wish I didnt have to waste time eating lol

3 weeks off vaca!? Fri/sat/sun putting 12 hrs in!?
m on - fri: 2-3 hours (this is after working a full day, gym, cooking and still making time for my gf
Sat/Sun : 6hrs
I thought i was at the high end of studying, i guess not.

Man, I wish I could do 12 effective study hrs on wkends…but I’d probably get more depressed/stressed than anything. I do plan on increasing my hours starting tomm…thanks to this thread lol. I don’t get a whole week off before the test unfortunately (although I’m planning some strategic “sick days”), but I get the next two Fridays off…so hopefully I’ll catch up some. Totally jealous of the people w/2 week vacations or heck even one week before the test would be nice. What will yalll do that with all that time? Just practice/review all day for the 7 days before the test? Hopefully note 12 hr days as you may burn out before the test?

Are you guys not willing to take vacation days off or just can’t?
I want to pass and I am taking 80% of my vacation days to study.
Grinding about 8-9 hours per day (real studying).

A lawyer dies and goes to heaven. “This must be a mistake,” he says to St. Peter. “I’m too young to die. I’m only 50.”
St. Peter say raising and eyebrow, “Fifty? According to our calculations, you’re 82.”
“How’d you get that?” The Lawyer asked.
“We added up your billable hours.”

Or maybe you all live with your mamas and have life taken care of for you.
12 hours work + 3 hours studying and weekends 8 am to 8 pm? Yeah right.
@ Viceroy: 2 x 3 hours sounds about right on the weekend and vacation days. 2-3 hours on weekdays depending on workload and SS. Last two weeks you can up that.

^ are you a farmer? or the day in the lower hemisphere is 20 hours long? You’re in the last month of preparations. You have 7 hours of sleep, 10 hours of work, 3 hours of stuff. This leaves 4 hours. Do you spend them taking naps?
For the weekends, do you know that 8am to 8pm is just half a day?

What else would you rather be doing instead of studying when you have a shot to finish this thing, that had consumed 1000+ quality hours of your life, in just 23 days?
sleep
eat
work
everything else doesnt matter now

sleep is for the weak
im on my 6th day of no sleep at all. in fact, i’ve been hallucinating the last 5 of them. just a few minutes ago Grinold and Kroner actually sat me down and taught me their method. It all makes sense now….

I hope you poured them a Blanton’s old fashioned for their willingness to take time out of their day to help you.

^^ Grinold and Kroner, those are the 2 dragons from the Game of Thrones, right? I forgot the name of the 3rd one. I believe his name was Larry
