Anyone going old school and writing the exam with a fountain pen?

Yup I just went and baught one yesterday.
Its what I used in school when I was a kid, so even though my handwritting sucks, it should be best with a fountain pen. Plus it can be erased. However I drove 50km to buy one and forgot the eraser.
However I remember them having a lot of problems, the are like the M-16 of pens, good when they work, but they jam a lot. So I am taking an AK 47 as backup (ball pen).

I’m thinking about it but apparently when the ink gets wet it gets erased. I will have nightmare’s seeing the proctors spilling some coke on my page to see the ink run down.

oh yeh, erased.
I think i will still use it, I am am gona worry about the odds of a a grader spilling coffe on my test, might as well start worrying about a sandstorm, earthquake, fire… seems like similar odds

can we use just normal pencils? why are people using pens?

You don’t want to mess with fountain-pen issues on this exam. You’ve got enough to worry about. Just use a pencil or erasable pen.

i just use a pen and if i mess up. just use a lot of arrows pointing at the right answer.

A few years ago, the questions were all “can we use pens,” because CFAI wasn’t clear on whether pens were allowed (they were). Now the question is “can we use pencils.” Yes, you can use pencils.
I used a kind of erasable ink that was basically graphite. The way graphite squeaks off of a normal pencil really irritates my ears, so I liked having a pen-like feel.

Feather pen and ink well for me.
Holy Crap! Me too! I gathered 100 farthings and paid for the finest peacock in the land. Slaughtered him and took his magnificient feathers for this momentous occasion.

I am writing it with a quill pen and in blood.

Seriously dont use a fountain pen, just adding an uncecessary variable.
