Hi guys
I am preparing for the June’10 exam.Just finished economics(already done ethics&Quant) .Now,I am really confused as to what subject should i study next?Earlier i had planned to take on ‘FRA’ after i finish ‘Eco’ but now that i have gone through many posts regarding FRA and did a quick read through ,i realized that it’s a lot of memorization. So what according to you guys should be my next subject of study:-
1.)FRA
2.)CF & PM and so on.(And FRA to be completed after i am through with the rest of the curriculum)
Please advise as to what should i do now or u did differently to prepare this subject and have been able to retain the stuff till now.
Cheers

I read through the curriculum in the CFAI order for the test coming up in December, it seems to work pretty well the way they have it planned out. I wish I left ethics till the end though because I just re-read it anyways.

Er… it’s November. I’m pretty sure the order in which you study the topics now won’t matter. I mean, when are you going to finish reading the whole thing for the first time - 5 months before the exam?

NYCAnalyst86…………..I Appreciate Your Concern. But really, I’m doing just fine.

Hi Jatboy. Keep reading in the CFA order. You’ll find that with so much time to go before the exam that you will re-read the study sections several times. So just keep reading in order.
FRA does have a lot of memorisation, but there are also concepts to be learnt!
Good luck

Thanks The+1Guy………much appreciated.

if you have enough time, go through the curriculum as intended (from vol. 1 to vol. 6). it is put together extremely well IMHO. i would not skip anything if possible.

Ha. I am taking the Dec 09 exam and we are at the same point. This couldn’t be more ridiculous.
