I failed last year with a band 6. I passed this year.
I wanted to offer a little encouragement and advice to those who need it.
Here are few things I did differently this year that I attribute to passing.
  1. Noticing the amount of points awarded to each question in determining how much to write.
  2. Focusing on the key words. Describe is different than Justify.
  3. Use bullet point formatting for answering questions. It helps keep your answer concise which is what the CFA wants.
Hopefully this is helpful. Good luck to all next year.

thanks .. failed on first attempt this year .. band 7. Crushed of course .. being that already sat on 4 exams (twice for L2) … just frustrated. thought i was done - felt good after the exam (although didn’t think prepartion was well for various reason).
Need to sit back and rethink whether i want to put myself through this again.

You’re more than 2/3 of the way there. It more about how you answer than what you know. Don’t give up! If you do you’ll have to regret it the rest of your life. (At least that is the motivation that helped me do it one more time)
Good luck!
