I got a operations job at an investment consulting firm. Here are a list of moves i’ve seen with a CFA
Fund Accounting -> performance measurement at a custodian
Fund Accounting -> performance measurement at an asset manager
once you are in performance measurement
performance measurement -> client services/RFP
performance measurement -> service provider (rueters/bloomberg)
Then b-school. 1-2 years at each job and should pass all levels of the CFA and then straight to top 15 bschool.
